Introduction to Russian: Lesson 1
Rule 1:
Don't study more than 20 minutes at a time
Why? Because usually when learning a foreign language, our brains like to work hard for the first 20 minutes. Then, we really need a break to sort out and store the new information. Your brain will appreciate a nice break after 20 minutes of hard work and will make it easier for you to learn a language without wasting extra time and effort. Good news, right?
So, if you don't complete the entire lesson within 20 minutes, don't worry! Just finish it later. It's better to study for 20 minutes in the morning and then 20 minutes in the afternoon rather than forcing yourself to pay attention for 40 minutes straight. Be smart, don't work too hard!
