Introduction to Russian:          Lesson 24

Just like in English, when speaking about people, Russians use gender specific pronouns: он, она, они.  And you have already learned that the English pronoun my has several forms in Russian depending on the person's gender (when speaking about one individual): мой or моя; or a plural form мои (when speaking about more than one person).
